Condition: NEW
Comments: This is a cased Colt Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoon miniature percussion six shot revolver in 47% scale by Uberti made under license from Colt. These Dragoons were made by Uberti near the very end of their miniature production, with what is thought to be less than 150 made! They are a very rare item for miniature collectors.
This miniature is in mint condition. 6 1/2″ long overall, with part round part octagon rifled barrel in .21 caliber. Fully functional, but not shootable. Brilliant blue and case coloured finish. One piece varnished walnut grip. The cylinder is mint with the usual Ormsby Texas Rangers and Indians battle roll marked cylinder scene. Serial number stamped into the bottom of the frame, barrel, triggerguard, and backstrap. It has the proper Dragoon loading lever latch. This model Dragoon was never made with a Walker loading lever locking pin as some people expected.
The underside of the barrel marked “A. UBERTI ITALY”, which does not show with the loading lever in it’s up position. Mint new 99+% condition. Comes in a beautiful veneered burl wood case, fully lined , with period correct miniature working accessories.
HISTORY ON THE ORIGINAL . The Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoons are a transition model between the Colt Walkers and the First Model Dragoons, and is also known as Fluck Dragoon. It is estimated that only 240 original Flucks were made, so actually rarer than a Walker!
Originals were made from Walker parts and differ from the first model Dragoons in the angle where the triggerguard meets the grips.
NOTE: I have been told by a dealer in Queensland that Australian Customs are no longer allowing these scale miniatures into the country. So here’s a chance to get one while you can. No License required in Qld, as this is considered a toy. State laws will apply according to your state of residence, if applicable.
